“Blood Donation & Health check-up Camp”. 16th July 2014.

386 bags of blood was collected.

New Hope Foundation organized its 10th Blood Donation Camp and Health Checkup Camp in association with the North Indian Association along with L.T.M.G Blood Bank (Sion), J.J Mahanagar Blood Bank (Byculla), Triumph Blood Bank (Thane) and S.L Raheja (A Fortis Association) Hospital (Mahim) on Sunday, 6th July 2014 at North Indian Association Auditorium, Near Sion Hospital, Mumbai.

The Blood Donation began with the Senior Inspector Mr.Sanjay Surve from Antophill Police Station. Eager donors queued up in large numbers to donate Blood including the NHF Members. S.L Raheja Hospital arranged a separate kiosk for the health checkup which included Height, Weight, Body Mass index (BMI), Blood Pressure (BP), Ribosomal Binding Site (RBS), Electrocardiograph (ECG), Bone Densitometry (BMD) and Consultation with a Doctor.

Throughout the event Snacks and Refreshment was served to all irrespective of whether one donated blood or not. All Blood donors were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and Donor cards by the Govt of Maharashtra. Deodorant, Vivel Fairness Cream & Face Wash sponsored by Ekka Dum Foundation. NHF donated 100 books of 200 pages to Sindhu Sagar, Vidya Mandir of Kalyan.

386 bags of blood was collected this day (L.T.M.G Blood Bank – 228, J.J Blood Bank – 106, Triumph Blood Bank – 52). The event ended at around 6.30 pm with a vote of thanks by Shri A. Swamy, president of NHF and Shri Digal Mehta to the Blood donors, Rise (The youth wing of NHF) & SIWS College Students who were the volunteers for the Camp. It was our pleasure and a new experience for NHF to organize a camp in new area with North Indian Association and it was also decided to conduct many such events in future.
