Restitution Of Shivaji Chowk Police Chowki, 15th Aug 2011

The police chowki situated in Sardar Nagar No. 1, Sion Koliwada had lost its existence and taken over by some locals for reasons not known to many.

New Hope Foundation took the effort to restore it in the same position and previous state. NHF is proud to exemplify such an instance, is indeed a history in itself. A place which once belonged to our Mumbai Police department was taken over by local public for their convenience was identified, worked upon and restituted to the rightful owner; the State Government.

The restituted Shivaji Chowk Police Chowki, Beat No 1 - Antop Hill Police Station was inaugurated on 15th August, 2011. The inauguration was done by Sr Inspector of Police; Antop Hill Police Station along with Shri Jagannath Shetty - MLA, Prominent social worker Shri N. Vittal and Municipal Corporator Shri Jasbir Singh Bira.

It was our Independence Day; the whole show was performed by the Police Force in the true spirit of nationalism. The police officials of Antop Hill Police Station performed the flag hosting event. It was a sight not many had witnessed ever. Everyone was mesmerized to watch the Police Band perform in full force and police official's parade that signified a national fervor to the event. At this prideful moment; NHF members made effort to minimize possible traffic confusions and helped the parade to attain its grounds in a suave manner. Our National flags were distributed to all the local residents and the members of Local Shop Association present in this occasion.
